Competition BBQ is not about commercial retail opportunities such as a ribfest; it facilitates a truly competitive environment to produce the worlds best BBQ. Teams from across Canada and United States meet at specific events to challenge others in cooking traditional southern BBQ for cash and prizes.

The Canadian Southern BBQ Association's mandate is to promote "Grilling Smoking and BBQ Across Canada"
